Directions from Manguzi : Follow R22 towards Farazela border post for 5km turn right on to the gravel road {D1846} where it indicates Kosi bay camp. keeping to the left for 4km. At the y junction keep left for 800 mtrs until you reach our sign on the right. follow the signs for 2km to the lodge. AS ALL THE ROADS IN THE AREA ARE SAND, IT IS ADVISABLE TO COME WITH A CAR THAT HAS A GOOD GROUND CLEARANCE......we are only a phone call away if you need guidance to the lodge.

4×4 Vehicle is not a necessity – normal vehicles are suitable to reach Chinderera Eco Lodge.

WHAT TO PACK

Dress is casual and comfortable as the climate is sub tropical. It can be cool in the winter evenings.

Summer temperature averages 25’C to 35’C – November to April, while winter temperature can vary between 15’C to 25’C – May to October.

HIKING TRAILS

Comfortable clothing & walking shoes, a day backpack/waterproof pouch, light waterproof jacket (during rainy season), swimwear, sun cream, and a sun hat/cap and sun glasses.

Optional – personal snorkelling gear although we can provide.

ECO LODGE MENU

At Chinderera we provide 3 meals a day. Breakfast is continental/English and lunch is usually packed as you will be out on a trail. Bottled water is provided.

Our dinner set menu specializes in cuisine from around Africa. Comprising of fresh fruits, vegetables and nuts, seafood, meat and poultry dishes, and on occasion curries and chillies.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Our Kitchen can accommodate certain dietary requirements, if notified in advance, please email us with your specific requirements so that we can prepare accordingly.

CHINDERERA IS BORDERING ON THE iSimangaliso Marine Reserve, A 30 MINUTE WALK FROM THE LAKES. BEACH ACCESS IS BY GUIDED TRAILS ONLY.
