CHINDERERA ECO LODGE
AN AFRICAN GEM
Our private lodge, which specializes in catering exclusively for between two to six guests, runs on solar power and offers drinkable borehole water. It is nestled peacefully in the dappled shade of majestic indigenous trees in the Kosi Bay sand forest. The Kosi Bay area is situated in the northeastern coastal corner of South Africa.
By day guests can enjoy the forest which is alive with squirrels, Samango and Vervet monkeys and an abundant array of bees, butterflies and birds. By night, the bush sounds come to the fore, when owls may converse with each, bushbabies might squabble in the trees, and sometimes a lonely nightjar calls. All these sounds gently ease the silence under the starry African skies.
Chinderera offers you a touch of rustic African luxury blended into the beautiful coastal sand forest in KOSI BAY, in the iSIMANGALISO World Heritage Marine Reserve of Southern Africa.
At Chinderera, we offer a range of Eco Activities to help you explore this magnificent unspoilt area. From hiking, to snorkelling and kayaking, there is something for everyone.
The Cuisine at Chinderera draws its inspiration from African tastes and flavors. Using fresh and locally sourced produce, each meal is prepared with a personal touch adding to the exceptional experience.
WE INVITE YOU TO UNWIND AND ABSORB THE PEACE AND TRANQUILITY OF THE AREA AND TO EXPLORE THE WILD BEAUTY OF THIS UNIQUE ECOLOGY AND SANCTUARY WITH Chinderera ECO LODGE.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
AN EXCLUSIVE EXPERIENCE
Wild yet peaceful, truly unique
even after having seen a lot of Southern, Eastern and Central Africa, the heartwarming welcome, and only two Chalets.
Pam, Bill, and Trevor, their deep love of nature, lovely food, bush and lonely white-sandy beaches, amazing snorkeling spots, ... this place has got everything to become a legend.''

The quality of the ingredients, the creativity of the dishes, the presentation, and the whole ambiance in which it is served, is just a delight, knowing they are located in a very remote part of South Africa, where it is not easy to find certain ingredients.
We will definitely be back!''
In this amazingly beautiful area of natural beauty, there are some awe-inspiring hiking trails with Trevor, who has an unrivaled knowledge of local flora and fauna, as well as the amazing snorkeling spots.''

Trevor had us wait for the perfect tide coming in from the Ocean, as we swam with the gentle current viewing the ''Aquarium'' of tropical fish, coming into the Estuary.
...an experience like no other.''
